Put first things first - Work first, then play

I spend my time on things that are most important. This means I say no to things I know I should not do. I set priorities, make a schedule, and follow my plan. I am disciplined and organized.

I balance courage for getting what I want with consideration for what others want. I make deposits in others' Emotional Bank Accounts. When conflicts arise, I look for third alternatives.

Seek first to understand, then to be understood
先去理解别人，再求被人理解
I listen to other people's ideas and feelings. I try to see things from their viewpoints. I listen to others without interrupting. I am confident in voicing my ideas. I look people in the eyes when talking.

I value other people's strengths and learn from them. I get along well with others, even people who are different than me. I work well in groups. Sharpen the saw－Balance feels best
磨刀不误砍柴工，寻求健康和平衡
I take care of my body eating right, exercising and getting sleep. I spend time with family and friends. I learn in lots of ways and lots of places, not just at school. I find meaningful ways to help others.
我注意饮食、锻炼和睡眠。我花时间和家人、朋友在一起。我在各种地方都能以各种方式学到很多东西－学习的地方可不止于学校。我用有意义的方式去帮助别人。
在书中，Sean Covey以讲故事的方式，创造了橡树村的7个小伙伴，通过7个故事来分别讲述了高效能人士的7个习惯。特别适合家长和孩子一起阅读、思考、讨论。在时间额度、信用额度都满格的时候，做好一年的自我管理计划。
如果对于十几岁的青少年，作者的另一本书《The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens》，则更为贴合。（两本书均有中文译本）
此外，爸爸妈妈也可以参考这份目标计划表，给宝贝们更加合理的安排接下来的长假。
除了总的计划，家长们可以帮助宝贝们把每天的计划详细罗列成上午下午与晚上，包括学习，玩耍，家务时间，亲子时间，自由安排等，帮助宝贝们养成自觉自主的时间，打造出“高效能”的快乐宝贝~
